A redesign on two fronts: the mobile app and the back-office CRM
Get Spiffy brings car care to wherever the car is parked, across the United States. We worked on their Rails platform, then led the redesign of both the customer mobile app and the CRM their own team works in.

The situation
Get Spiffy does on-demand car care: washing, oil changes, tyres, delivered to wherever the car is parked. By the time we joined the team, the platform had passed 100,000 active users and ran on Ruby on Rails. But an on-demand service has two interfaces, not one: the app the customer orders in, and the internal system where the team picks that order up, schedules it and closes it. Redesign only one of them and the seam between them shows.
How we worked
We started as developers on the Rails platform, alongside their in-house team. Once we knew the system from the inside, we took over the design direction at both ends: the mobile app where the customer orders, and the back-office CRM where that order gets picked up and completed. One design system across both, which their team could keep using without us.
