Tell us what happened and what you expected. For a technical problem, include:
- Your phone model and iOS or Android version.
- Your Facet version and build number, if available.
- The level or screen where the problem happened.
- The steps that led to the problem and approximately when it occurred.
- Whether the game was online or offline.
A screenshot can help, but it is optional. Crop out notifications, names, email addresses and other personal information. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, device identifiers or a child's photograph, voice recording or personal details. A parent or guardian should contact us on a child's behalf.
For privacy enquiries, see Data and deletion requests.
How do I play?
Swipe up, down, left or right to move the whole board. Groups of three matching gems fuse into a higher-tier gem. A fuse can create another match, starting a cascade.
Your goal is to reach the level's score target within its tilt limit. Special level rules can change how gems move, arrive or score; check the rule shown for that level.
Open Settings → How To Play for the in-game guide.
What are Cuts and Powers?
A Cut is a choice you make during a level that changes how that level plays. A Power comes from a Run Gem you equip for a level. They serve different purposes, so check the description before choosing or equipping one.
How does the Bench work?
Rough stones go to the Bench. Playing levels earns Work toward finishing them. A finished, Ready gem can be used as a Power. The Bench shows the progress of your current stone.
Why are some tabs or modes missing?
Features appear as you progress. For example, Daily becomes available at Career Level 10. A new player will see fewer destinations than a player further along.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Core play and local progress work without an internet connection. Downloads, updates and contacting support require a connection. In the current test version, gameplay reports may be saved offline and sent when connectivity returns; offline play is not an analytics opt-out. See the Privacy Policy (draft).
Where is my progress saved?
Facet saves progress on your device. It does not provide a Facet account or cross-device cloud-save service. Your device's own backup or restore features are separate, and we cannot promise that they will restore a particular save.
Deleting the app or resetting its data can remove progress. Avoid reinstalling as your first troubleshooting step.
The game froze or closed unexpectedly. What should I do?
- If the game responds, return to Home or pause before leaving it.
- Close Facet and reopen it.
- Check for a newer build through the store or test channel you used to install it.
- Restart your phone if the problem continues.
- Contact us with the details listed above if it happens again.
An update may make an unfinished level incompatible with the new game rules. If the game cannot resume that level, it may ask you to start a new one. Report unexpected loss of completed progress to support.
How do I adjust sound, vibration or motion?
Open Settings to adjust sound and music, change Haptics, or enable Reduce Motion. Some feedback also depends on your device's own sound and vibration settings.
How do I start over?
Open Settings → Delete Local Data, read the confirmation, and choose DELETE. This resets your progress and settings on that device.
This is a progress reset. It does not request deletion of reports already sent to our service providers and does not clear every local diagnostic record. For a privacy request, use Data and deletion requests.
Purchases and billing
The current internal test version does not process real in-app purchases. Do not interpret a test purchase or restore screen as confirmation of a paid transaction.
If you see an unexpected Apple charge, check the purchase in your Apple account. Apple explains how to request a refund. Refund eligibility and decisions are handled by Apple. Never send us your Apple password or payment card details.
Parents and guardians
Facet is being developed for children and families. The current version is intended for adult technical testing while the child-release privacy and parental features are being finalised. Please contact us before involving a child in a pre-release test.
